Trinity to Trident Peace Walk
Interfaith groups walk for peace and justice and nuclear abolition

Whirlwind Peace Vigil Tour

Trinity Nuclear Abolitionists held a spontaneous demonstration for mercy on the edge of Interstate 580 in Northern California at the San Quentin exit on Saturday September 26th. Their message this day was: ABOLISH THE DEATH PENALTY, with a special focus on praying for Anthony Jones, a San Quentin prisoner on death row. Usually focused on nuclear abolition, the pacifist group based in New Mexico is on the road for a few weeks advocating nonviolence and healing from social injustice in a variety of areas.

These activities are being held as final preparations for the wedding vows of Chelsea Collonge and Marcus Page. They’ll be married on Saint Francis’ Day (October 4th) in Berkeley. Celebrating Francis Bernadone (the patron saint of environmental sustainability, animal liberation and peace-making) is central to Trinity Nuclear Abolitionists (TNA). See the TNA website for more details on resisting the domination system: http://tna.lovarchy.org

On the day after the TNA wedding, i.e. October 5th, TNA will join local activists attempting to communicate with employees of Lockheed-Martin (LM) in Sunnyvale. Organizers expect 30 participants, including peace activists and the wedding party from St. Francis’ Day.Chelsea & Marcus vigil on I-580
